4th of July Activities Around The Treasure Valley
06/30/2022

Since Idaho ranks pretty highly for the most patriotic states in the country, it’s no surprise that we are able to really kick out the jams when it comes to celebrating Independence Day around the Treasure Valley. We’ve put together some fun family-friendly activities that you can do this year that will have you singing a patriotic song.

Boise: Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Jubilee

Grab the kids and head on down to Ann Morrison Park this July 4th! There will be food and drink vendors on site but you can also bring outside food and drinks, just be sure to avoid bringing anything in glass containers. Make sure to pack your sunscreen and plenty of water! The festivities kick off at 6:00 PM so you can get there early and play games with the family and grab some dinner before the fireworks begin at dusk. The show should start at or around 10:15pm that evening. Get there early to secure a good parking spot and viewing location. First come, first served.

Star: Hometown Celebration Extravaganza

This may not be known to a lot of you out there, so it bears mentioning. Star really goes BIG on 4th of July festivities. They have so many great things planned that will be fun for the whole family, starting at 7:00 am on July 4th with a 5K fun run! We won’t list everything (there are over 12 events planned that day!) but some highlights are: a parade, a pie baking contest, a raffle, and a concert. Seriously. This is a great one to consider for Independence Day this year. More details on the Star city website here

Zoo Boise: Red, White, And Zoo Celebration

Run, don’t walk over to Zoo Boise this 4th of July weekend! They are putting on quite the event this year. With their “Red, White, And Zoo” spectacular, they are going all out. The festivities include an animal parade, entertainers, vendors, kid games, animal encounters, and so much more. This all goes down on Saturday, July 2nd starting at 9am. More details about it and other events at the zoo on their website

Garden City: Boise Hawks Game Annual Fireworks Show

The Hawks are back with a vengeance this year! This 4th of July weekend, they are hosting a three game series that will be sure to excite. Why not celebrate the 4th of July at a baseball game with a hotdog and cold beverage in hand? Doors open at 6:30 pm and first pitch is 7:15 pm. Fireworks show to commence after the game.
