Better Man Beard partners with 10 Barrel for No-Shave November
10/26/2018

November is one of our favorite months here at Better Man Beard. To start, the whole month is beard-centric since it is “No-Shave November” all month long! We take cancer awareness seriously and love to support No-Shave.org (we have some more information regarding the wonderful charity below). November is also important for us because we are kicking the month off right with an event at 10 Barrel Brewing downtown on 9th and Bannock, details below. Let’s all do our part this month to spread awareness and Keep Boise Beard!

About the Event at 10 Barrel Brewing

We will be selling our beard products at 10 Barrel Brewing downtown for First Thursday on November 1st, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Come on by and grab some balm, oils, or some Better Man Beard gear. ALL Better Man Beard proceeds will go to benefit cancer awareness and research through the No-Shave.org charity as part of No-Shave November. Stop on by and get some beer, buy some gear, and help the fight to eradicate cancer!

About The No-Shave.org Organization: In Their Words

From The No-Shave.org website.

“No-Shave November has been a tradition for many years, but it wasn’t until the fall of 2009 that members of the Chicagoland Hill family decided to use it as a means to raise money for charity. It was a project that held special meaning to the eight Hill children after their father, Matthew Hill, passed away from colon cancer in November 2007.

Participants in No-Shave November have always been willing to ditch their razors and, more recently, donate to cancer fighting foundations. But what started as an easy way for a few followers on Facebook to donate their hard-earned money has turned into a nationwide celebration. Every November for the past six years, these No-Shavers have donated the cost of grooming (from a few dollars on razors to $100 on a salon visit) and helped our organization raise over $2 million dollars to date.

As a family run, web-based organization, No-Shave November has grown exponentially since 2009. Our goal is to keep raising money for cancer prevention, education, and research and to let that hair grow in the process! We want every participant to embrace their hair for the many cancer patients that lose theirs due to vigorous treatments. We believe that together, anything is possible, and we’ll get closer to eradicating cancer one whisker at a time!”

Wrapping Up

We at Better Man Beard fully support the No-Shave.org charity and hope to see it continue to do a lot of good for men and their families around the United States. Please make plans to visit us at our First Thursday event this November 1st to show your support for the fight to end cancer. We promise that you can’t go wrong this First Thursday if you stop by for some beer, snacks, and great beard grooming products. Supporting a good cause has never been this fun. See you there!
