Whether you’re considering growing and cultivating your own beard style or looking for some tips on how to do something new, Better Man Beard is here to give you the goods. To this end, we are going to make a case for what we feel are going to be the trend for beards in Fall 2020.
Even in the midst of a pandemic, nothing can stop the truly dedicated among us from continuing our beardy crusade. Whether your beard is a 5-day old 5 o’clock shadow or a long, full one that would put ZZ Top to shame, you’re already more prepared for the coming colder days than your bare-faced counterparts.
For those who may not be aware, No-Shave November is a yearly fundraiser that allows participants to create cancer awareness. Patients going through chemotherapy typically lose their hair, and this event is a way to raise funds for cancer research by growing your own unimpeded.
Our suggestion for moderate beard owners: grow it out! Not only is it a good chance to help those who need it, but also yourself as you expand your beardy horizons. More hair equals more available styles, so take the chance to check out what you would look like with styled mustache tips. Think outside of the box, and try something different; it’s all for a good cause!
If you have a gigantic beard and want to remember what your face looks like, November is the perfect time to try a shorter style and grow it back out if your face gets too cold. Trimming for work purposes is typically acceptable.
If you’re considering participating or would like to learn more about No-Shave November, please visit their official page.
When we have a beard on our face, it can be easy to become enamored with its magnificence, leaving the skin it grows from left in the dust. Taking care of the skin underneath your beard will always reward you with a more lustrous and fuller beard, leaving you less itchy.
Beards require different care products than the hair on our heads, so you can’t use a dollar store 3-in-1 and call it a day. Make it part of your daily routine to put balm or oil in your beard, and comb it for maximum comfort and pop. But if you’re looking to absolutely spoil yourself, we suggest giving yourself an at-home beard facial once a week. Not only does it feel great, but it also doesn’t break the bank.

If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that many of the things we thought were set in stone really never were. Use this opportunity to experiment with your beard and figure out which style suits you best.
Whether you work remote or are temporarily furloughed, this is the chance to let your true self show and do all the things you could never do at work, like wearing pajamas at your desk or microwaving fish.
