Spring Break Beard Care Tips From Better Man Beard
Posted on February 27 2020
It’s time to get out of winter mode and into spring mode! The sun is staying out longer and the days are getting warmer and that means it’s time to start making your travel plans for the year. Whether you’re traveling for business or making your way across the country to see your favorite band play at a dive bar in the Florida Keys, you’ll want to make sure you’re taking good care of your beard along the way. We’ll go over some key tips and best practices for you to deploy along your journey. And don’t forget your towel!
Bring Extra Sunscreen… For Your Beard
Yes, it’s true. Even your mighty beard can fall victim to sunburns. Since UV rays tend to break down and corrupt just about everything they come in contact with, you’ll want to make sure to block them from breaking down your hair as well. UV rays degrade the natural proteins within your hair, which makes the strands break, dry out, and split at the ends. You definitely want to keep that from happening to your beard. Make sure to buy sunscreen that is specifically made to be put on hair and not just your regular run of the mill sunscreen.
While you’re at it, pick up one of our Better Man Beard hats. It expertly straddles the line between rugged and sophisticated so it can be worn whether traveling for business or pleasure. Keeping the sun out of your eyes and off your face is key to safe, spring travel.
Keep Yourself Hydrated
We all know drinking plenty of water is good for us, especially when it starts to get warm outside. But did you know that drinking enough water will also help you grow healthier beard hair? Not being sufficiently hydrated can prevent your body from getting the nutrients it needs to grow beard hair. Also, since the skin cells around your hair follicles are mostly comprised of water, you’ll want to be drinking plenty of hydrating fluids to keep those cells healthy. One of the best ways to stay hydrated quickly and on the go is by drinking coconut water or Gatorade G2 (which has less sugar).

So helpful and great to read the practices that I was shown the first time I met THE man of better man beard. Definitely forget that my beard dries out and in the sun I hardly put on sunscreen let alone protect my beard. I think it’s time to invest in a comb and order some more beard oil. Thanks for the tips. I like the website. 👌🏻
