Top 5 Beard Styles For Spring
04/27/2022

Spring is here and you may want to consider switching up your beard style in order to be fresh and cool for the new season. We have compiled a selection of some of the hottest and most on-trend beard styles for you to try out this year. Whether you are wanting a more full look or a more nuanced look, we’ve got you covered!

The 5 O'clock shadow

This classic beard style is really making a comeback. Since the 90’s are definitely in style again, so is a classic 90’s beard look. The 5 O’clock shadow is a relatively high maintenance style of beard but it really can look clean and professional if you keep it trimmed and cut low. To keep an excellent 5 O’clock shadow you will need to use an electric beard trimmer or razor and trim it on one of the lowest settings every 48 to 72 hours. You will also need your regular manual razor or straight razor to trim your neckline so you don’t go all neckbeard when it grows out over time.

Celebrities who usually rock this look are Ryan Gosling and Ben Affleck.

The Corporate Beard

Embrace your inner CEO with this fresh look. This is a full beard that has been painstakingly trimmed and edged and groomed to look very professional and authoritative. It is typically no longer than 1 inch in length and is relatively high maintenance as well. This is an excellent look if you are on the hunt for a new job or looking to score that big raise.

Celebrities who have rocked this are George Clooney and Jared Leto.

The Boxed Beard

This is another full beard alternate but is trimmed to about ½ inch instead of 1 inch in length. It is called “boxed” because it is trimmed to have square tight edges that follow the jawline and is close to the ears. Trim your neckline about one inch to a half inch above the Adam's apple.

Celebrities who usually rock this look are Ryan Renolds and Chris Pine.

The Patchy Beard

This is a little more of a relaxed look that is great for summer. If your summer plans include rafting and hitch hiking to music festivals, then this is the look for you. This is a full beard that is less often trimmed and can be styled to look a little more “rough and tumble” around the edges.

Celebrities who usually rock this look are Keanu Reeves and Orlando Bloom

The Faded Beard

Similar to the ever popular and handsome “fade” hairstyle, the faded beard style is unique, cool, and sleek. This is definitely a professional style that will look just as good in the boardroom or VIP lounge at the club. This is the most labor intensive of the styles discussed today, but it is worth it. You may want to have your barber execute this trim each week or you can do it on your own at home by alternating beard trim lengths from shortest to longest going from your ears down to your chin. This look is especially great if you grow out your goatee area as well, but it isn’t necessary.

Celebrities who usually rock this look are Drake and John David Washington.

Conclusion

We hope you check out some of these cool new beard styles. Don’t forget, you don’t necessarily have to stick with one or the other. You can mix and match or go your own way, we won’t mind. We just want you to have the best beard that fits your personality and style! No matter what you do this year, we hope you have a wonderful year from Better Man Beard.
