Wintry Market. Where DIY Meets BOI.

Better Man Beard is proud to announce that we are going to be making a splash in one of the very coveted booths at this year’s Wintry Market. Many of us already know just how awesome Wintry Market is and what a great opportunity it is for the people of Boise to meet and experience our brand. For those of you who aren’t super familiar with the Wintry Market, let’s walk through a short and sweet history of the market and just how fabulous it is.

In their own words, “Wintry Market is Idaho’s premier curated Winter maker’s market showcasing the best of Idaho art, craft and design.” Wintry Market is like a state fair, a farmer’s market, and a cocktail party all rolled into one. It’s full of the best and the brightest entrepreneurs, makers, artists, crafters, and small businesses that Idaho has to offer. This is the perfect opportunity to get started (or finished!) with your holiday shopping all while supporting Idaho’s small and micro businesses.

The market was founded in 2010 by two savvy Idaho gals, Amy Pence-Brown and Kristin Montgomery. Amy is a well known local author, historian, and feminist with a degree in Art & Architectural History. She is a pillar of the community and has worked very hard to showcase the best that Idaho has to offer. Kristin is an Interior Designer, crafter, and art enthusiast who has grown up in the Treasure Valley. She is a U of I alum with a degree in Interior Design. Kristen and Amy work hard to bring the Wintry Market to life every year.

Wintry Market is an award winning gathering that was named the “Best Holiday Market in Idaho” by Food and Wine magazine. Wintry Market 2018 will be taking place November 17th & 18th from 10am – 5pm (Free & Open to Public) at JUMP Boise (1000 W Myrtle St. Boise, ID 83702).

Come down to the Wintry Market where you can try our handmade, all natural Better Man Beard products and grab one of our popular hats and other Better Man gear. This is the perfect time to stock up on great Christmas gifts for the bearded man in your life. Let’s Keep Boise Beard! Here are a few lovely businesses that will have their booths at the market this year, besides us of course!

All Spun Up: This is such a unique and special product that we are just going nuts over. It’s artisanal, small batch, cotton candy. Cotton candy is always a hit at the fair and the circus, yet we forget about it in day to day life. It’s such a simple yet bingeable treat that brings back comforting childhood memories and helps to curb your sweet tooth. Dye free, made with real fruit ingredients.

Lost Little Things: Great handmade home decor from local Idaho woman, Tara Dial. Her crafts are unique, classic and tasteful. You’ll want to fill your entire home with them! We were drawn to Lost Little Things just by the name alone. It is a creative and fascinating name that matches the superb art that they create!

The Pine Needle Co.: The Pine Needle Co. really takes advantage of an oft-forgotten art medium: embroidery. Hand stitched embroidery made locally. Embrace your feminine side and fill your walls with gutsy and girly art with a powerful message.
