Beard Care Seasonally

Do You Need To Change Up Your Beard Care Seasonally?

August 23, 2023

With the summer regretfully drawing to a close, it’s time to start thinking about how you can prepare your grooming routine for the fall weather. In today’s blog, we are going to cover some handy tips and tricks that you can add to your routine or build your existing routine around so that you can make sure that your beard is ready to tackle whatever the harsh fall weather throws at us. Sound off in the comments with your tips and experiences with preparing your beard routine for the change in weather! We’d love to hear from you.

Add A Conditioner Step To Your Shower Routine

If you haven’t noticed already, the fall weather can bring dryer weather and with the cold also comes heaters. Being around heaters for the majority of each day takes a toll on your skin and can dry out your beard like crazy. To help combat this, you can start by conditioning your beard after you wash it each time you shower. This will help to give your beard and underlying skin a good baseline boost of valuable moisture.

Apply Moisturizing Balm Or Oil On Additional Time Each Day

We always recommend that you oil up your beard at least once to two times each day, especially after showering and in the evening, but with the onset of the fall weather, it may be time to add another moisturizing session to your routine. We recommend carrying a travel balm with you so that you can apply a quick moisturizing coat around 1 to 3 pm each day while you’re most likely on the go at work or school. This will help you get that extra dose of moisture your beard will be craving.

Swap Out Your Current Beard Balm And Oil Scent For A New One

We may have our favorite Better Man Beard oils and balms, (I’m always reaching for my precious Spruce oil) but it can help to switch things up. We may love the smell day in and day out, but others around us may become “nose blind” to the scent, so swapping it out can help people take notice of your excellent smelling beard and face. For this fall, we recommend going back to the original scent if you’re like me and have been using a lot of Franky T throughout the summer months. After all, variety is the spice of life!
