Treasure Valley Fall Activity Guide
09/06/2023

With fall finally right around the corner and temperatures starting to head down from the triple digits to something more…pleasant, it’s time to start planning your fall activity schedule! In today’s blog, we’re going to talk about some fun fall themed activities that will help get you out of the house and having fun despite summer almost being officially over. Let’s fall into it, shall we?

September 23rd and 24th: Idaho Renaissance Faire

Held at the fairgrounds off of Glenwood, this festival is truly a blast from the past. You don’t have to show up in costume, but it is definitely encouraged! If you are a fan of things like knights in shining armor, hearty ale served in oversized flaggons, and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, then this is the place for you. It’s like going to Medieval Times meets the Western Idaho Fair, without having to fly all the way to California for the trouble. There will be live entertainment including music and jousting and tons of fantastic vendors that will have incredible fantasy-related items for sale. More info here.

October 6th Through The 28th: Harvest Days At The Idaho Botanical Garden

The folks at the Botanical Garden must really love fall because they typically go ALL OUT! This year is no exception. Starting in October, they are pulling out all of the stops and putting together a fantastic array of events and activities that you and the family or a date can do. Here are just a few:

  • Idaho Social Dance- Come and dance and listen to live music!

  • Hispanic Heritage Day- Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Hispanic Heritage, a day dedicated to honoring the traditions, flavors, and rhythms that shape this vibrant culture. Performers to expect are: Mariachi Tleyoltztin, Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo, and Tejano Outlaw!
  • Oktoberfest- Get ready for a spirited celebration at our October Fest! Bring your favorite stein and enjoy a beer and brat while you mingle with fellow attendees. Don't forget to dress for the occasion - the more festive, the better! Bacon Drive will perform live music.
